STEEL MILL | Process<\/h2>\n

As part of the Rugui Group, Nueva Incal has Access to Rugui Melt<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

RUGUI MELT<\/strong> is a steel mill with a capacity for 250,000 tonnes per year. It consists of three induction furnaces<\/strong> to melt high-quality ferrous scrap in a highly environmentally friendly process.<\/p>\n

In addition, the steel mill uses a Secondary Metallurgy (LF)<\/strong> and a Vacuum Degassing (VD)<\/strong> facilities, with the purpose of producing high cleaning requirements. 90% of the steel is subjected to this degassing process.<\/p>\n

The steel mill possesses an 8 meter radius continuous casting station<\/strong> formed by a submerged entry nozzle and a steelworks\u2019 ingot mould, electromagnetic stirrers (EMS), four cooling areas and an oxy-fuel cutting system.<\/p>\n
