As part of the Rugui Group, Nueva Incal has Access to Rugui Melt
RUGUI MELT is a steel mill with a capacity for 250,000 tonnes per year. It consists of three induction furnaces to melt high-quality ferrous scrap in a highly environmentally friendly process.
In addition, the steel mill uses a Secondary Metallurgy (LF) and a Vacuum Degassing (VD) facilities, with the purpose of producing high cleaning requirements. 90% of the steel is subjected to this degassing process.
The steel mill possesses an 8 meter radius continuous casting station formed by a submerged entry nozzle and a steelworks’ ingot mould, electromagnetic stirrers (EMS), four cooling areas and an oxy-fuel cutting system.
